Hi Everyone,
Everything you should need for Lesson 1 has been loaded into your "Lesson 1" Assignment. I will publish instructions and resources to my website as well.
Please note that in an effort to accommodate all learners, I will be publishing activities that are required for the course, as well as activities that are optional - or supplemental. It is my hope that all students will be able to submit at least all required work.
I am going to try to publish my week's content on Mondays or Tuesdays, and will make deadlines for the activities the following Sunday.
Just because you receive the lesson from me today does not mean you need to drop everything to complete English homework. I publish my material at the beginning of the week so that you can decide when during the week you want to work on English. I strongly recommend setting up a regular time during the week when you can focus on English. Please remember that many students have yet to complete their Othello assignments as well. If you have any questions about those, please feel free to email.
Lesson 1
Required:
Decide your novel; email me for a copy
Form a group (optional); set up a Doc and share with with me.
Read the lesson overview and novel readings. I will paste your novel's questions into your Google Doc. Those will be due on Sunday.
Here is the breakdown for this week:
Fahrenheit 451 - PDF, Pgs. 1-8
1984 - Part 1, Chapters 1-3
Oryx and Crake - Chapter 1 – 3 (Subchapters Mango to Downpour, inclusive)
Supplemental:
Lesson 1 of the vocabulary package (Attached).
Send me the answers on a separate document, if you choose to do this activity.
