Just a note to remind students of two things: 1. A quiz on "The Yellow Wallpaper" Nov. 22 and 26. 2. Marks cut-off for first term is Friday, November 28. Marks are being continually updated this weekend on Parent/ Student Connect, and should be completed by Tuesday. All students are asked to closely monitor Student Connect and follow up on any assignment that have yet to be submitted.
This week were working with the short story, The Guest, and some of the philosophical concerns that the story represented. Last class students were able to start their next unit assignment, interpreting the story through either a biographical or historical literary lens. Please find attached: - the assignment on the unit slide (I will get around to updating the rest of the slides this week) - the notes on Daru as an existential hero. - Historical and Biographical context notes The response is due next class, Nov. 18 and 19.
Attached is the information on Literary Theory which you will need for filling in your charts. Literary Theory Charts due Nov. 12 and 13 Please let me know if you have any questions, and enjoy the rest of your weekend.
We have begun the next unit in the course, Short Stories. Please find below the slides for the unit thus far, as well as Unit Activity #2: Characterization in "Ms. Brill" Ms. Brill Characterization Chart due Nov. 4 and 5 As well, please find attached below the description and rubric for the "Your Own Ms. Brill" Project.
